Love Island fans have shared their disappointment after Josh Ritchie and Sophie Piper came third on All Stars. Many viewers had been hoping the couple would take the top spot on the ITV2 show, with them having become fan favourites. Sophie, 24, and Josh, 29, lost out to Molly Smith and Tom Clare, who were declared the winners of the first All Stars series.
Callum Jones and Jess Gale were runners-up, while Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran came in fourth place. Love Island viewers took to social media after the result aired on 19 February to share their thoughts on the winners. Many thought Sophie and Josh were the clear winners of the series, leaving them stunned when they came third.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: "No way did Sophie and Josh come in third, we want a recount." A second claimed the result was "fixed", adding: "No way Sophie and Josh came third this is fixed." "Seeing Josh and Sophie finished 3rd. What a shame honestly #LoveIsland," a fan viewer penned. Another fan fumed: "Josh and sophie are my winners sorry!!! #LoveIsland." A fifth Love Island viewer stated: "As soon as Sophie and Josh came 3rd place, I switched off.
They had longevity and chemistry! I believe the results were fixed! #LoveIsland no more a fan of @LoveIsland." Tom and Molly’s victory comes just 4 years after Molly first appeared on the show back in 2020.
Meanwhile, Tom made his villa debut in 2023 and reached the final with ex-girlfriend Samie Elishi. During Molly's first time in the villa, she found love with Callum, 27.
The pair went on to date for three and half years, until they split in September 2023. Molly and Callum both then arrived in the All Stars villa as bombshells, unaware that they were both going on the show.
