ITV Love Island hit with Ofcom complaints from fans about Ekin-Su being 'bullied'

Love Island has been hit with 75 Ofcom complaints from fans upset by an episode featuring a heated row involving Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. The complaints came in after viewers accused boys in the TV villa of 'bullying' the Turkish actress following her explosive argument with Jay Younger.
The ITV2 dating show received the complaints following the episode which aired on Thursday June 23 with protests relating to the treatment of Ekin-Su during the programme reports the Daily Star. Many fans on Twitter claimed the boys were 'bullying' Ekin-Su during the scenes.
The episode saw Ekin-Su rage at Jay, who she was coupled up with at the time, after he told her that he'd like to get to know paramedic Paige Thorne. After she appeared to have taken the news well she later pulled Jay for another chat at the fire pit and had it out with him.

She blasted: "I take everything back that I said here. I was calm, collected and it just hit me now what you have done. You knew at the recoupling to stay safe that I would pick you. You could have got to know Paige from day dot."
And she stormed off Jacques stepped in to side with Jay. And he branded Ekin-Su a "f****ng headache" telling her: "He coupled up with you and found out what you are in two days mate, a f*****g headache."
Ekin-Su replied: "No, shut up Jacques. He wants to get to know Paige." But he hit back: "He's getting to know people, why can't people get to know each other?"
As she accused Jay of leading her on, saying "there's nothing wrong with people getting to know each other" a frustrated Dami Hope could be heard complaining: "Oh my God."
