He immediately grabbed attention when he walked into the Love Island villa as a bombshell contestant asking 'did anyone order an Italian snack?'. And a month into the series Manchester's Davide Sanclimenti has so far become a firm favourite with fans.
Davide, 27, entered the villa after the initial five couples had already been formed at the start of the show. The business owner, who is from Rome but lives in Manchester, was initially coupled with Gemma Owen before pairing-up with Turkish actress Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
After dumping Ekin-Su for cheating on him with newcomer Jay Younger, Davide is giving her a second chance. And fans think they could genuinely be in love. In super-sweet scenes the pair went on a romantic date squashing grapes together at a vineyard as Ekin-Su reassured him things will be different now.

As well as being charmed by Davide's blossoming relationship with Ekin-Su, fans of the ITV2 dating show have pointed out why they think the hunk is the 'nicest' Islander over some of his actions in the villa. In Friday night's dramatic double dumping episode they noticed that Davide headed straight over to hug tearful Danica Taylor after the boys decided to send Antigoni Buxton packing.
In awkward scenes Antigoni mouthed 'why?' to the girls when she was sent home over Danica. And a clearly emotional Danica mouthed 'thank you' to the boys for saving her.
Referring to former Islander Afia Tonkmor, Bright_Ad_7279 said on Reddit: "Afia said Davide is the nicest islanders in her AMA and here’s one way that shows it - when everyone immediately goes to hug one person, he firstly goes to the other who has been left."
