Loose Women's Penny Lancaster left her co-stars in stitches after opening up about her sleeping arrangements with husband Sir Rod Stewart.
The policewoman appeared in the audience of the ITV show on Friday, 23 February. Penny, 52, was supporting Rod, 79, while he was being interviewed by the Loose Women.
The singer appeared on the show alongside Jools Holland, 66, to speak about their new joint album and tour. Prior to their interview, the panel - Judi Love, Kaye Adams, Myleene Klass and Sunetra Sarker - had been discussing sleeping arrangements.
Host Kaye, 61, made sure to get Rod and Penny's thoughts before the show came to a close. "I'm going to pry you, we were talking about sleeping positions earlier on. I don't know if you two are going to confess anything about your sleeping positions?" Kaye said.
The camera panned to Penny, who was sitting in the front row of the audience.
She made sure to speak before her husband, and told the Loose Women: "He likes to sleep with an extra blanket, but I need to get on top of blankets because I'm too hot under the sheets with him." Rod pulled a face at the camera and stayed silent, while the panel burst out laughing. Penny innocently smiled as the interview came to a close. Elsewhere in the interview, Rod admitted Penny, who is a Special Constable for the Met Police, is leading him and his sons down a "more righteous path" - something he previously opened up to OK! about.
Rod told us he'd noticed a "change" in his wife's personality ever since she joined the police in 2020. “Oh it’s wonderful, she puts me in my place,” teased the singer. “She has become a little bit more bossy, even our two children have noticed.
