But as popular as they may be, after Netflix announced its recent price hike, the on-demand video service industry doesn’t come cheap. In fact, subscribing to Netflix, Disney+, Now, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video and Britbox could cost upwards of £43 a month – and that’s without any upgrades or deluxe packages.

TikTok has launched its own streaming distribution service SoundOn, designed to “empower new and undiscovered artists, helping them develop and build their careers”.The platform will allow artists to upload their music directly to TikTok, meaning they can earn royalties when their music is used.
