Yesterday, it was announced by WarnerMedia that they’d added two more cast members to their cast of “Our Flag Means Death,” a pirate comedy series at HBO Max that will be led by New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi as history’s most notorious pirate, Blackbeard.

HBO’s Lovecraft Country earned 18 Emmy nominations this season including Outstanding Drama Series. Based on the Matt Ruff novels of the same name, the series is set in 1950s Jim Crow America where Atticus (Jonathan Majors) searches for his missing father with his childhood friend Leti (Jurnee Smollett) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance). Majora and Smollett are both nominated for Emmys in lead acting categories.

Netflix’s The Crown is nominated for 24 Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series for the fourth season of the series detailing the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The season covers the whirlwind romance between Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) and Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin), as well as Margaret Thatcher’s (Gillian Anderson) tenure as Prime Minister.

Netting 15 Emmy nominations including for Outstanding Comedy Series, HBO Max’s Hacks has been a hit since its premiere in May. The show centers on the relationship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and struggling and entitled young comedy writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). Both Smart and Einbinder have received nominations for their roles.
