Rasmus Hojlund says he was never worried about his transfer to Manchester United collapsing upon the discovery of his back injury, although he admitted it was a “rollercoaster” period of time.
The Dane had to wait 29 days after signing to make his Reds debut against Arsenal having missed the first three matches while recovering from his stress fracture, a problem he said caused him no pain. Hojlund impressed in his cameo at the Emirates having replaced Anthony Martial on 67 minutes.
The attacker, whose injury was first detected at Atalanta ahead of his £72million transfer, says he is now looking to the future and insists he is ready to go “full throttle” again.
Speaking to Danish outlet BOLD, he said of his injury: “Well, there is not much else to say, other than that it was a small thing, and I have never really been able to feel any pain myself at any time. It was just something that had to be respected, and it has been done, so now it's just out of the way.”

United and Atalanta agreed that Hojlund would not feature in the Italian club's pre-season friendly with Bournemouth on July 29. He was officially unveiled as a United player seven days later.
Asked whether he had any kind of concern throughout his setback, he replied: “I don't know that. Many things happened in those days. There was a lot to focus on, so it was a rollercoaster ride in many ways, but I wouldn't say that I was worried at any point.”
Hojlund's minutes are continuing to be managed as he works his back up to full fitness. He has made two appearances for Denmark in the past week against San Marino and Finland, both of which came from the bench.
