This is the major new exhibiton celebrating all of the children's books of Zog, Gruffalo and Stick Man creators Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It is set to delight families across the summer holidays at The Lowry at Salford Quays.
The huge new exhibition has taken over the galleries inside the arts centre with a raft of colourful murals and immersive displays. It brings alive the characters of some of the best-loved children's books in the world created by author Julia and illustrator Axel over the past 30 years.
Families will get to see a truly giant Smartest Giant, a supremely super Superworm and clamber inside the family tree of Stick Man and his Stick Lady love. There are reading rooms, a dress up area and a real-life Monkey Puzzle for inquisitive minds.

There are lots of opportunities for inspired youngsters to draw and write their own works - with each given a free booklet to do just that on their visit.
The exhibition is free to enter, and families can spend as long as they like walking around the displays and reading the stories behind those famous stories in Julia and Axel's own words.
There's also chance to view video clips of the famous adaptations for the BBC that have become Christmas staples in recent years, like the Highway Rat, Stick Man and most recently The Smeds and The Smoos.
The Lowry, in collaboration with publishers Macmillan Children’s Books and Scholastic, is curating the exhibition celebrating the acclaimed partnership between Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, which has most recently produced The Baddies - which features alongside the likes of Room on the Broom, Zog and Superworm.
