The Queen made a secret trip to visit her horses after her last minute withdrawal from the first day of the Royal Windsor Show, it has been revealed. Thursday marks the first time the Queen has missed the Royal Windsor Show in 79 years.The annual show is a four day event which features competitions in three equestrian disciplines. It is the UK's largest outdoor horse show.The Queen was due to be driven from her private apartment in the Windsor Castle to the event, in order to watch one of her horses compete.

The number of stalkers bothering the Royal Family has risen to an all-time high, it has been revealed. Last year 170 stalking cases relating to the family were logged by police - with 10 being categorised as being of the highest danger level.

Princess Diana’s family has shared a moving tribute to her brother John, who tragically died shortly after birth. Charles Spencer, Diana’s younger brother and the ninth Earl Spencer, shared a touching post on Instagram of a gravestone restoration commemorating John’s short life.The first of the two images in the post shows the grave of John, who was born and died on 12 January 1960, in disrepair.
