It’s time for a new era of Love Island as familiar faces return to the iconic villa as part of the brand new Love Island All Stars series. With contestants including Georgia Harrison, Chris Taylor and Kaz Kamwi set to give love another go, we expect things to get hot, hot, hot. But while many of the Islanders may be getting to know people they’ve never met before, for some contestants things will be a little bit different.
Having signed up former couple Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, fans have already taken to social media to discuss how things could go down between the pair. “EVERYONE VOTE JAKE AND LIBERTY TOGETHER FOR THE CHAOS,” wrote one person on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Liberty and Jake going back in love island at the same time is actually so messy #LoveIsland,” added another.
Back in 2021, 24 year old Liberty and Jake, 26, hit things off when they appeared on season seven of the show.
The pair coupled up on day one and remained an item until the final week of the show when things between them got a little bit more dramatic. As a committed couple from day one, the pair even became an official item after Jake asked the former Nando’s waitress to be his girlfriend. “I’ve never connected with someone the way I have with you, ever,” she responded at the time.
“All cards on the table, I don’t think I really knew what love was until I met you.” However, prior to becoming official, cracks in their relationship had already started to show, and some of their fellow Islanders cast doubt over the strength of their partnership and encouraged Jake, a water engineer, to give Liberty more compliments.
