Laura Anderson has announced that she and partner Dane Bowers have broken up after first being romantically linked five years ago. Taking to Instagram to share the sad news, 33 year old Laura revealed that she and the Another Level singer Dane were “not right for each other”. She wrote: “Just to let all my beautiful support on here know that unfortunately Dane and I have decided to separate.Thank you all for your continued support.
Sadly we're just not right for each other but I do wish him nothing but love.” She added: “I will be moving back to the UK as soon as I can. Roll on the rest of 2022, lets make it count.” The pair first met in 2017 while at a pool party in Dubai.The pair began dating though never made things exclusive, leading Laura to call it quits after discovering that Dane, 42, was seeing somebody else. “We were dating for six months when I found out he was seeing someone else,” the TV personality told The Sun.
“We weren’t in a relationship at that point, and we never said we were exclusive, but I was disappointed, so I confronted him and ended it. “It was all very upsetting, and that’s when I applied to go on Love Island. It was just on a whim, but then when I got in against the odds, I took it as a sign I should do it.” As a result, Laura’s time on Love Island in 2018 saw her finish in second place alongside Paul Knops, though the couple’s relationship ended soon after the show.
“The day after Paul and I broke up, I did that toxic thing where you text your ex. I went to Dane’s house, because I didn’t know what to do with everyone finding out about Paul, and he really helped me,” she told the publication.
