Dragon’s Den star Hilary Devey’s agent confirmed her tragic death on Saturday 11 June . She died aged 66 while staying in her holiday home in Morocco, reported The Sun. Her representative told the publication: "I can confirm that Hilary sadly died yesterday.
She had been ill for some time." Hilary grew up in Bolton and witnessed her dad going bankrupt when she was seven. She left school at the age of 16 to serve in the Women's Royal Air Force. While serving she worked in air traffic control and the supply accounts department.
She later moved to London where she launched her own business. Hilary was also married and divorced three times throughout her life. She first married Malcolm Sharples in 1976 when she was just 18, divorcing in 1978.
Later, she had a son with her long-term partner Hussein, called Mevlit. However, they were unable to marry when she found out he was already married to someone else, calling the relationship a "sham". In 2012, Hilary revealed on BBC Radio 4 that several years after their marriage, her mother discovered her father already had a wife and four children.
This fate later extended to Hilary herself, when she found out her ex partner was also already married with five children of his own.The TV star previously claimed that her son Mevlit successfully overcame drug addiction in 2013. She later married Ed Devey, whose name she took, before marrying former pub boss Philip Childs in 2011.The marriage only lasted two years, divorcing in 2013.That same year Hilary was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), in The Queen’s 2013 Birthday Honours, for services to the transport industry and charity.
