With Love Island ’s eighth series now well underway and the bombshells whisked off to Casa Amor, many fans have turned their attention towards the latest round of singles hoping to turn islanders' heads, including some with very famous connections. So far this series, viewers have been treated to three celebrity hopefuls in search of love, including 26 year old Antigoni Buxton, the daughter of chef Tonia Buxton, Gemma Owen, 19, the international dressage rider who boasts former England player Michael Owen as her dad and even Liam Llewellyn, 22, whose dad David Llewellyn represented Wales in the 1999 Rugby World Cup.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain with the former Love Island presenter's friend Natalie Pinkham, Christine said the "sadness never goes away" after her daughter took her own life at the age of 40 in February 2020. She became emotional as she admitted that while she doesn't think the feeling will ever really leave her, she knows he still has to "get on with things" and has been excited to help plan and organise Flackstock.

Michael Owen has previously opened up about the jealousy he suffered that led him to going for counselling. The former Liverpool and Manchester United footballer is currently watching his daughter, Gemma, attempt to find love on the 2022 series of Love Island.

Gemma Owen has found herself at the centre of the drama in the Love Island villa so far, especially after the recent arrival of one of her ex-boyfriends, Jacques O'Neill. The 19 year old, who is former professional footballer Michael Owen's eldest daughter, was left shocked when Jacques, 23, entered the famous villa as a bombshell, and exclaimed: "Oh my god, that's my ex-boyfriend," as she saw his face.
