The head of railways in Ukraine has apologised to passengers — for only having nine in ten of services run ON TIME yesterday.
Alexander Kamyshin took to Twitter this morning (February 21) to reveal some details on how the visit of US President Joe Biden impacted the running of his nation’s railways. President Biden was in Kyiv yesterday, the 362nd day of the war, to visit Ukraine’s President Zelensky.
The visit, combined with the vast destruction caused by the war, impacted rail services in the country but 90 percent of trains were still running as scheduled. The news has prompted one northern MP to compare the Ukrainian situation with the state of services in Britain.

“I also want to apologise for breaking our OTP (On Time Performance) yesterday. We had to delay some of our trains to give way to Rail Force One [which Mr Biden travelled on].
“It was painful for me and my team, but I had to do that. So only 90 percent of our trains arrived on time yesterday. I apologize.”
It’s led Charlotte Nichols, the Labour MP for Warrington North, to ask if the UK could employ Mr Kamyshin after the war is over to help get our trains ship-shape. Passengers have faced months of rail misery, due to a combination of staffing issues, strikes, and timetable changes.
“I asked the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK yesterday if, after the war is over and a just peace secured, they could send

current interest in their operations within US politics in recent months, the company gave a statement that set out five key proposals to improve the regulation of the ticketing business.“If there’s any chance of improving ticketing for fans and artists, we all need to focus on the facts,” began Live Nation’s statement.“In the last few weeks alone,” it went on, “we’ve submitted more than 35 pages of information to provide greater context and transparency to policymakers on the realities of the industry.“These include the fact that this industry is more competitive than ever, Ticketmaster has actually lost market share since the 2010 merger, not gained it; and that venues set and keep most of the fees associated with tickets and are increasingly taking an ever-larger share.”Live Nation stressed that it supported an industry-wide move to “all-in pricing”, where ticketing platforms declare the price of a ticket including all and any fees upfront. This would arguably need to be achieved through regulation to ensure companies that voluntarily adopt all-in pricing aren’t disadvantaged by looking more expensive in advertising and search engine listings.President Joe Biden recently called on ticketing companies to limit such fees, often called “junk fees”, that are added to ticket prices which he said “can easily add hundreds of bucks to a family’s nights out”.The company also suggested the primary problem in the ticketing market was touts.

Series 9 of the winter Love Island series kicked off back in Jan, with Maya Jama making her presenting debut in replacement of Laura Whitmore. So far, we’ve seen plenty of drama, including Islander Jessie going off-script during the Knowing Me, Knowing You task, and viewers calling out Movie Night after the episode was not what they expected - all while the contestants bask in the sunshine of their Cape Town villa. But for many eagle-eyed fans out there, there may have been something else (or someone else, should we say) you may have recognised from a previous stint on the show.

Every Bravo-holic has their “Real Housewives” city of choice, but the most loyal devotees don’t play favorites. Just this week, Lukas Gage from “The White Lotus” said in an interview that they’re “all beautiful in different ways” after being asked which series is his favorite. According to Gage, New Jersey is “unhinged”; New York is “classy”; Beverly Hills is the “O.G.” “Real Housewives” fans also know that different cities will usher in high levels of drama every year. Salt Lake City, for example, inarguably offered the most entertainment value last year.
