Ian Wright has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo is “exactly” what Arsenal need after the Manchester United star’s latest heroics.
Ronaldo scored his second hat-trick in three league appearances to inspire United to a 3-2 win over Norwich at Old Trafford on Saturday. The feat saw him repeat his heroics from the victory over Tottenham (by the same score) last month.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s performance couldn’t have come at a better time for United, with the weekend's win putting them back in contention for a place in the Premier League’s top four. United ensured they made the most of both Spurs and Arsenal slipping up, to move within three points of the coveted final Champions League spot.

Having looked on course to claim fourth just a matter of weeks ago, the Gunners have suffered an alarming slide at an inopportune time. Their 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday was their third successive loss, and leaves them three points off the pace, albeit with a game in hand.
Arsenal have found goals hard to come by of late, having scored just twice in their last five outings. And Wright lamented his former side’s lack of firepower, which threatens to derail what had looked to be an encouraging season under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners legends believes his old side would be faring much better if they had Ronaldo to call upon.
