Manchester United fans have heaped praise onto Cristiano Ronaldo after he joined the Premier League's esteemed '100 goals club' against Arsenal.
Off the back of their humiliating defeat to Liverpool in the week, United journeyed south for another important fixture against a great rival on Saturday as they faced Arsenal in a match that will have huge ramifications in the race for a Champions League place. Despite the sky high stakes, United once again started dismally and were behind after just two minutes as some dreadful defending led to Nuno Tavares tapping home. They were soon two goals behind when Bukayo Saka dispatched a penalty as United stared down the barrel of another battering.

However, just minutes later, Ronaldo halved the deficit. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is back in the starting XI after missing the trip to Anfield due to compassionate leave following the death of his baby son. He had started the match brightly and got a deserved goal as he met Nemanja Matic's cross to score with an excellent finish.
The strike has seen Ronaldo become the 33rd player to reach the milestone of 100 goals in the Premier League. But not only that, it means that the 37-year-old now has the astonishing distinction of scoring over 100 goals in the Premier League, La Liga, Champions League and international football.
It's an unrivalled achievement which has earned him plenty of plaudits on social media.
