'I'm in a dark place': Chilling moment Wayne Couzens filmed in police cell after being arrested for Sarah Everard murder

Chilling footage shows an injured Wayne Couzens rocking back and forth in a prison cell after murdering Sarah Everard while telling a police officer 'I'm in a dark place'. The killer cop can be seen with a white bandage on his head as he is quizzed about the 33-year-old's disappearance at Wandsworth Police station.
From behind a protective screen, a hunched and agitated Couzens can be seen swaying from side to side, as he is shown a picture of Miss Everard, who he had kidnapped, raped, and murdered eight days earlier in south London. The disturbing clip is shown in a new BBC documentary Sarah Everard: The Search for Justice.
The serving Met Police officer had been deemed medically fit to be interview after self-harming in custody. Dressed in a grey sweatshirt Couzens shows no emotion as he replies 'no comment' when asked by a female detective if he recognises the person in the picture.

Asked 'Did you show your warrant card to her?', Couzens again replies 'No comment'.
"People trust us don't they?," the investigating officer then says. "People trust us to look after them. People trust us to help them. Protect and serve, that's what they say. We all took that oath. You included."
The documentary also shows police bodycam footage of the moment Couzens is arrested at his home in Kent - and then spins a pack of lies about Miss Everard's murder.
