Footage form a police interview in 2020 has now ben released after the 29-year-old was found guilty of Ollie's murder on Friday. A jury, however cleared Driver, 31, of murder and GBH, but found her guilty of causing or allowing the serious injury and death of a child. They will be sentenced on April 10, reports the Mirror.
When David was quizzed by police, he denied murdering Ollie with one-word 'no' answers. When asked, "Did you, or anyone else, cause injury to Ollie that I'm going to discuss with you today,'" he replied: "I don't know, not me."
He was then asked: "You said at no point during that night or at any point have you manhandled or mistreated Ollie - is that right, Michael?" He replied: "Yeah. Never done anything to him."
"Not even accidentally, or unintentionally I should say, in changing him or clothing him?" Davis coolly replied "No" whilst shaking his head. During the trial, the jury heard shocking details about the treatment baby Ollie received, including that dad Davis was more preoccupied playing on his PlayStation 4 than looking after his son.
