Josie Gibson has shrugged off critics who have shamed her for sharing a bed with her son. The This Morning host, who came fourth in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has said she plans to share a bed with her five year old son Reggie until he's 18.
Back on daytime TV after her stint in Australia, Josie is looking forward to spending time with Reggie. Speaking on This Morning on Monday, 18 December, she said: "I have cuddled Reggie like you would not believe. It was so nice to be reunited with him." Josie had previously told OK! that the only person she's willing to share a bed with for the time-being is Reggie, joking, "I want him in there forever - he will be until he’s 18!" During her exit interview from I'm A Celeb, Josie told hosts Ant and Dec that she had struggled without her son, who she bid an emotional goodbye to before entering the jungle.
She said: "I was missing him so much and you could see I was really sad and I wasn't myself." And while appearing on the show, Josie had a heart-to-heart with EastEnders star Dannielle Harold, confessing: "I just miss my little boy. I shouldn't have ever left him this long." Josie added, "Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty.
I'll never leave him this long again, ever." Many parents online related to Josie's feelings, saying they would struggle to leave their own kids too. However, some viewers were less sympathetic. One wrote: "Oh god give me strength, enjoy the money love with your son," while another said: "During covid people didn't get to see family or anyone for such a long time and they complain about being away from family for a month and being paid an enormous amount of money..."
