The husband of Bible John victim Helen Puttock supports a new play based on the horrific murders.
George Puttock said he was in favour of the show “as long as it doesn’t do any harm to me and my family”.
Dancing with the Devil, which opens tonight in East Kilbride Village Theatre, centres on the story of the men and women who frequented Barrowland Ballroom and those who “danced with John”.
George, whose wife Helen was murdered in October 1969 and was thought to be the third victim of Bible John, said: “Anything that keeps her murder in the minds of the public is not a bad thing.
“I want people to remember Helen and the two other women. Everything is always about him, the killer. All the victims had
families who loved them and miss them.”
Producer Paul Moore said the production will explore the unsolved murders without focusing on one victim or their murders. And he revealed there will be three Bible Johns to reflect the fact the killer has never been found.
Dancing with the Devil will run from today until May 15 at various venues across the west of Scotland.
