Scots comedian Janey Godley has updated her followers on her cancer journey as she gets ready to undergo another round of chemotherapy.
At the end of 2021, the 61-year-old told her fans that she would have to undergo a hysterectomy after doctors found a tumour on her ovary following a period of suffering stomach and back pains, a bloated tummy, loss of appetite, and frequent urination.
But despite the major op, she had to undergo further treatment as she had advanced to stage three, meaning the cancer had spread.
And now Janey has posted a smiling selfie on Twitter as she gives an update to her followers.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: "Up early for pre chemo blood tests number FIVE chemotherapy tomorrow."
Janey is currently undergoing a course of six treatments.
Many of Janey's friends and fans flocked to the comments to send well-wishes.
One said: "I just completed my 5/5 chemo and 30/30 radiotherapy and am sending all the strength in the world I can to you! That final session, when it comes, is euphoric and exhausting and I can’t wait to see your tweet as you nail it!"
While one added: "Stay strong Janey! ... I'm sure it's safe to say that: all of your fans (me included) will be here waiting for when you're ready and able."
Another wrote: "Sending love, as always. You're doing great! x."
While another commented: "Almost there, and not very long ago you couldn’t see a way through! You and Honey will smash this, keep hanging in one day at a time xx."
