A husband and wife died following a crash with a police car.
John Jackson, 60, and Nerys Jackson, 57, were killed after their vehicle was involved in the head-on-head collision. Inquests into their death on December 9, which opened and adjourned today, heard how a Skoda driven by Mr Jackson collided with a police vehicle on the A458 near Morville, Shropshire.
Mrs Jackson, a teacher, suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away at the scene despite efforts from paramedics to save her, according to the coroner's officer report. A third passenger, a woman in her 20's, was hurt in the incident, WalesOnline reports.

A statement released by West Mercia Police following the collision said the police vehicle involved in the incident was not on an emergency call. The female driver of the police vehicle had to be removed with the help of fire services.
She was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, according to police at the time. Chief Superintendent Gareth Morris, of West Mercia Police said after the accident: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man and woman following this awful incident, and our staff member who has been seriously hurt, at this difficult time.
"We ask that their privacy is respected. I would also like to reassure the public that we have referred the incident to the IOPC.”
