Hundreds of people have donated to a fundraiser set up in memory of a 'precious and beautiful' artist found dead after going out for a walk. Rachel Jackson, 38, from Didsbury, vanished while visiting friends in Preston, Lancashire on April 1.
She told pals she needed to go out for 10 minutes to get some air. But when she never returned police launched a public appeal for information, saying they were 'very concerned' by Rachel's disappearance.

Tragically the following day Lancashire Police confirmed the body of a woman had been found in a park in Preston.
Rachel's sister Sarah Jackson set up a GoFundMe page in her memory, describing her as a 'sparkling ray of sunshine who brought unconditional love, joy and beauty to the lives of every single person she encountered'.
"I've never met anyone who loved so purely and deeply, never met anyone with the compassion and empathy she had," Sarah added. More than 450 people have since donated to the page, raising almost £10,000.
Rachel worked as an artist under the name Jeffrie Jackson Art. Her Facebook page shows her most recently working on a street mural in Burnley. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Scores of friends have also been paying tribute to Rachel online. The Olive Branch charity shop in Urmston tweeted: "We are really sad to hear of the passing of Rachel Jackson.
"She did amazing window art and she did this for free for us and a lot of other charities. She was a lovely vibrant soul and really talented. Rest in peace Rachel and thank you for the kind effort you made to do our widow sign. It was the pièce de résistance for our shop and we will forever remember you by it."
