Woman found dead after police called over 'concern for welfare'

A woman was found dead in Bolton after police were called to reports of concern for her welfare.
Officers were called to Duchy Avenue at around 10.15am on Thursday (March 6). Tragically, they found the body of a woman at the scene.
Police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A coroner will be informed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 10:15am today (Thursday 6 March) GMP were called to reports of concern for welfare of a woman on Duchy Avenue, Bolton.
"A woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding this."
