Humza Yousaf has said that Rishi Sunak has not spoken to him despite his relatives being trapped in Gaza.
The First Minister wrote to Tory Foreign Secretary James Cleverly about his relatives and was "angry" and "disappointed" to receive no reply.
Yousaf also accused the UK Government of not valuing Palestinian lives as highly as Israeli lives and said that Israel had gone "too far" with its "collective punishment".
Both Yousaf and his wife, Nadia El-Nakla, have spoken about their fears for her family who are trapped in the warzone. This includes her parents, grandmother, brother and his children.
Nadia's parents, Elizabeth and Maged El-Nakla, travelled to Gaza last week to visit his 93-year-old mother. Hamas attacked Israel at the weekend, prompting reprisals and senior Israeli officials declaring a “siege” of the territory.
The Israeli military has since told 1.1 million people in north Gaza to flee within 24 hours.
Yousaf said he was "disappointed" Tory Prime Minister Sunak or Cleverly had not been in contact with him.
He told Sky News: "I have written to James Cleverly, and although I have heard from a junior office minister, Lord Ahmad has been in touch and I was grateful for his assistance.
"I am disappointed I have to say that James Cleverly himself hasn’t been in touch because we have told them there are two UK citizens - and he was in Israel, he was not necessarily far away from Gaza - not suggesting he should have gone but he could have clearly picked up the phone to give me an assurance that they are working day and night to get those two UK citizens out of Gaza.
"But, from James Cleverly, I am pretty disappointed."
When he was asked if Sunak had been in contact, Yousaf replied: "No, I haven’t heard from him."
