Howard's Way actress found dead in bedroom with hands bound after suspected robbery

British actress Viscella Richards, known as Vikki Richards on stage, has been found dead at 79. Her hands were tied up in her Caribbean home after what looks like a robbery. Viscella's friend found her on Wednesday, 6 March, in North Valsyn, Trinidad – they hadn't heard from her since Tuesday night and went to see if she was okay.
When they friend got there, the gate was shut but the front door was open.
The friend called for Viscella and then found her while looking around the house.
The police said there were no other signs of harm on her body. Vikki became famous for her part in the movie Black Snake in 1973. She also acted in The Love Factor in 1969 and the Onedin Line in 1971, reports the Express.
Her cousin shared that the family was worried about her because she was starting to have dementia and they were trying to find someone to live with her. "Yes, we were concerned about her safety because we were getting things in place to get somebody to stay with her as her illness progressed," said the cousin. They remembered Viscella saying, "We have lots of memories to talk about, but too much to mention." Viscella's neighbours were also taken aback by the tragic news, as they reminisced about her.
One neighbour shared: "She was a beautiful lady, a warm person, engaging, thorough. Living alone in this place, we felt she needed somebody in the house with her, but in a situation like this with people realising she lived alone...she may have been a soft target,". A representative for Trinidad police stated: "Around 12.30pm on Wednesday, Richards' caregiver arrived at the house and found the front door ajar."
