Travel blog by Travels of Adam (Hipster Blog) – Travels of Adam (Hipster Blog) - Travel & Lifestyle Hipster Blog I know what you’re thinking: do we really need another post with the top 10 tourist attractions of NYC? Well, the answer is: we do. Big cities around the world, whether it’s London, Paris or New York, are places that people always want to hear about. We love these great centers of diversity, of street life, of fashion, art, and gastronomy.
And one of the difficulties of traveling to these places is that the top attractions, even when commercialized and crowded with hundreds of tourists, are a must see. If you decide to skip them, you’re simply going to miss out. There’s no New York City without the Empire State Building, no London without Big Ben, no Paris without the Eiffel Tower, no Berlin without Brandenburg Gate.
This past winter, I visited New York for the first time in years and I renewed my love for the city. It wasn’t the fake connection you have with NYC while binge-watching Friends or Sex and the City, or some of the iconic gay artists that have made NYC part of their art. It was my life, unfolding before my eyes, while sitting in the sun on the High Line, while eating French toast in a diner and while letting my mind wander in the many amazing museums and galleries.
It was all about my strolls in Central Park and my nights in Brooklyn. However, a lot of my best memories of NYC from this last trip were, surprisingly, from the top 10 tourist attractions. Sure, I’ve been to NYC many times before.

Clayton Davis Senior Awards Editor After a year hit with Hollywood strikes and an early buzz positioning Christopher Nolan’s drama about the creation of the atomic bomb as a frontrunner, sentiments from more than a dozen Oscar voters on the first day of final voting revealed a strong backing for Nolan. “Nolan fucking deserves it,” an anonymous voter emphasizes to Variety, highlighting the widespread acclaim for Nolan’s direction and billion-dollar blockbuster.
Imagine a movie akin to a sad David Bowie song about an astronaut drifting alone into the dark abyss of space, contemplating his life, his lost love, his past, and an uncertain, perhaps soon-to-be-shortly doomed future. Sing the wistfully estranged and reflective “Space Odyssey” tune and the lamenting iconic line, “Tell my wife I love her very much, she knows!” That’s Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck’s “Spaceman” in a nutshell, which makes for possibly the weirdest, most existentially lonely movie Adam Sandler has ever starred in.
For a time, it seemed like an auteur war was about to break out over Adam Sandler, with some of America’s most revered directors vying to find the right role for the comedian. It was rumored, but never confirmed, that Quentin Tarantino imagined him a key role while writing Inglourious Basterds, although this might have been wishful thinking from critics who saw the talented Sandler heading in the same direction as John Travolta until Pulp Fiction saved him from a lifetime of Look Who’s Talking movies. In the end, Paul Thomas Anderson got there first, with Punch Drunk Love (2002), although the glow of a bona fide arthouse hit didn’t last long, and Jack and Jill still happened less than ten years later.
Ellise Shafer Adam Sandler was faced with a new challenge on the set of his upcoming Netflix film “Spaceman“: using wires to appear like an astronaut floating in space. At the film’s Berlin Film Festival press conference on Wednesday, Sandler cheekily reflected on the experience, saying the “wires hurt me.” “The wires were tough because my body’s not the most flexible body. The wires hurt me, they dug into me.
The Berlin Film Festival was rocking Wednesday afternoon as Adam Sandler rolled into town with Spaceman, his latest feature for Netflix.
Tom Sandoval is speaking out about those eyebrow-raising comments he made.
Have you ever watched a show and wished you could go back and enjoy it all again for the first time? Well, you can – kind of. Previously released television shows often have a way of finding new generations of viewers through word of mouth or via streaming platforms. Viewers who have already tuned into the classes may be on the hunt for something new but similar in premise.
It’s apology time.
Tom Sandoval has released a new statement following backlash on Tuesday (February 20).
SERIOUSLY?! Wow. Any hopes Tom Sandoval had of repairing his image post-Scandoval just went out the window after these latest comments.

Tom Sandoval is getting some heat for what he said in a new interview.
When a reality TV star gets caught up in a cheating scandal, admittedly one that has captured the nation, it’s never a great idea to compare it to the brutal murder of a man at the hands of the police.
William Earl administrator “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval has already stuck his foot in his mouth several times on the new season of the realty show. After all, it’s the first episodes back since he gained infamy for “Scandoval,” in which he cheated on his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with one of her best friends, Rachel Leviss. But after reflecting on the incident, Sandoval offered a jaw-dropping comparison to his infidelity.

Jennifer Lopez is putting on her very own fashion show on the streets of New York City.
Paul Giamatti is our real-life Brad Pitt,” declares actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Giamatti’s Oscar-nominated co-star from “The Holdovers.” And she’s not joking. After all, as Randolph points out, “We can’t all be Brad Pitt, and I mean that in the most positive way.” The actor argues that Giamatti, in roles ranging from Revolutionary War heroes and Depression era boxing coaches to, in “The Holdovers,” a cranky New England boarding schoolteacher, has displayed a talent for always seeming natural on screen. Just as Pitt blazes on screen, Giamatti draws audiences in.
