Cristiano Ronaldo continues to deliver career-defining landmarks, with the Manchester United forward celebrating yet another milestone during his side's 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.

The 37-year-old latched onto a delightful pass from Casemiro during the first half to complete the turnaround for Erik ten Hag's men on Merseyside, netting his 700th club goal in the process.

Only former Slavia Prague talisman Josef Bican can boast more goals than the United forward, but just how does Ronaldo's feat size up against some of the other all-time greats?

Breaking Bican's record earlier this year meant Ronaldo is credited with the most goals in footballing history, hitting over 800 for both club and country during an incredibly successful career.

The Austrian-Czech forward was active for 26 years and whilst with Czech side Slavia, he averaged a whopping 1.79 goals per game. He would end his terrific career with records insisting he found the net a mammoth 805 times across all competitions.

PSG forward and Ronaldo rival Lionel Messi brings up an impressive 781 goals, whilst adding laying on a further 339 assists. The Argentinian has a current average of a goal every 104 minutes compared to the former Real Madrid forward who boasts an average of a goal every 113 minutes.

With Ronaldo's career at United beyond this season uncertain, who knows if we will see one of the greatest of all time bring up another 100. With the World Cup in Qatar likely to be his last, there has often been talk Ronaldo could still continue playing at club level well into his 40s.
