Tens of thousands of households have been warned that more flooding could occur this week after Storm Babet battered the UK over the weekend.
In England, it is understood around 1,250 properties were affected by flooding while roughly 30,000 properties required extra protection against rising water levels, the Environment Agency (EA) said. The agency highlighted that more flood warnings will likely be issued in certain areas this week.
However, such warnings will most likely not be severe, meaning there won't be a dramatically increased risk of death or serious injury. It comes after severe flood warnings at the River Derwent, Derby, and the River Idle, East Midlands, were lifted on Sunday.

The agency said: "River flooding will continue into Wednesday along the River Severn. Further flooding is possible from rivers and surface water on Tuesday and Wednesday for parts of England due to further heavy rain.”
Meanwhile, the Met Office highlighted that the worst affected areas hit by flooding which were brought by Storm Babet are likely to see "a couple of quieter days". Met Office Spokesman David Britton highlighted that more settled weather at the start of the week will allow areas to recover from the events in the weekend.
He added: "There is this pulse of rain moving its way north overnight later on Monday and into Tuesday, but the rest of the week does look like it remains rather unsettled with spells of rain at times.”
