Home and Away's new star, Ally Harris, has shared her personal journey with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The 26 year old actress, who plays nurse Dana Matheson on the popular Aussie soap, didn't know she had the condition until she was an adult. Ally, who also starred in The Claremont Murders and Harrow before joining Home and Away, admitted that she struggled to decide on a career path during her school years. The Channel 5 star confessed that growing up without knowing she had ADHD made her feel inadequate at times.

Now, I have more of a handle on it and have become obsessed with getting lots of things done. It can be overwhelming." Interestingly, Ally wasn't always set on becoming an actress. She revealed: "I wasn't among those young people who aspired to be actors.
However, I used to play with my cutlery at the table when I was little - I had a whole series of stories for them," much to her mum's frustration. Ally discovered her love for acting in her late teens. She shared with Stuff: "I really just threw myself into things when I discovered what I was excellent at and interested in.
I was certain that acting was what I wanted to pursue when I was about to graduate from high school. At the time, I was 16 or 17." She also revealed how she worked with New Zealand acting coach, Miranda Harcourt, who helped her land previous roles.
This led to her being cast as Dana in early 2023, alongside former 800 words star, Jessica Redmayne. On getting the part, Ally said: "I never really thought I would be on the show, but
