Sam Heughan appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new book with Graham McTavish.
The Balmaclellan-born actor 43, is currently set to release his third book, Clanlands in New Zealand: Kiwis, Kilts, and an Adventure Down Under, with Outlander co-star Graham McTavish, 62. The actors have previously worked together on two other books - 'The Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland' and 'Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other' - as well as their travel show Men In Kilts.
During his appearance on the popular US talk show, the Jamie Fraser actor made an X-rated confession when discussing his travels in New Zealand. Discussing the book, Fallon pulled up a photo of the two Scottish actors posing in kilts on top of a glacier.
The US star said: "So you're sticking with the kilts, here is the pair of you in kilts on a glacier."
As Heughan quipped: "That's me in New Zealand, on a glacier in commando. I claim to be the first person in commando on a glacier. I went all the way just to do that."
Speaking about the book, he said: "We went to New Zealand and it's this amazing place. Honestly it's a bit like neverland with Peter Pan. There's islands, there's alpines, there's glaciers, there's fjords, there's jungle.
"There's incredible animals and wildlife. They've got flightless birds and great white sharks."
Outlander is available to stream on Starz in the US and Lionsgate+ in the UK.
