Holly Willoughby has a brand new deal with Marks & Spencer, said to be worth a seven figure sum. The host’s impressive new venture with the retail giant follows recent backlash received for “skipping the queue” to see the Queen Lying-In-State last month. Holly’s M&S deal comes as her co-host Phillip Scofield’s £1 million contract with We Buy Any Car has ended.
M&S confirmed the deal with Holly, 41, in a statement, which read: “We have extended our contract with Holly, and we will continue to work with her." Holly has been an ambassador for M&S since 2018, and has “their full support”, an insider told MailOnline following the new deal. OK! has contacted Holly’s representatives for comment. The presenter’s M&S contract extension comes after fans noticed Phillip had been removed from We Buy Any Car a d vertisements following queue-gate. Holly and Phillip, 60, were both bashed by fans for seemingly jumping ahead of public mourners who had queued in line for hours to view the Queen’s coffin last month.
Holly and Phillip insisted that they were given “official permission” to visit the Queen’s coffin as “accredited broadcasters and journalists”. On This Morning, Holly said: “None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone’s place in the queue and no one filed past the queen. We of course respected those rules.
“However, we realise that it may have looked like something else, and therefore totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue.” An ITV boss supported this, stating that reports that the pair skipped the queue were based on “misinformation”. Chief Executive Dame Carolyn McCall said: “They did have accreditation.
