Holly Willoughby details 'dream come true' moment ahead of ITV drama debut as she teases This Morning return

Holly Willoughby's acting skills will be put under the spotlight this weekend, as the presenter makes her TV drama debut.
Holly is a familiar face on daytime TV, often seen fronting ITV's This Morning. She's also tried her hand at panel shows, as a team captain on Celebrity Juice. But she will be seen in a whole new light when she appears on Midsomer Murders on Sunday evening (August 27).
The ITV drama series has seen detectives tackle murder, mayhem and mystery in the English countryside over the years. The mum-of-three is set to make her first cameo when the the series returns this weekend as she will play a version of herself real-life self as the 'Queen of daytime telly'.

Now, Holly has said it was a 'dream come true' to appear in the long-running detective drama. A behind-the-scenes preview of Midsomer will be shown on tomorrow's This Morning (August 25), marking Holly's first appearance on ITV's flagship daytime show in weeks.
The 42-year-old last presented This Morning in early July, before leaving for her usual two-month summer break. Holly is expected to return to host the show again from September.
In an Instagram post, Holly said she 'loved every second' of her time on Midsomer Murders. She added: "Thank you to the whole team at Midsomer Murders for making me so welcome and really looking after me". Holly's episode, The Witches of Angels Rise, will visit the county's annual psychic fayre in Eddon Hall.
