The man accused of plotting to kidnap and murder former This Morning star Holly Willoughby is due to deliver his plea at Chelmsford Crown Court today. Shopping centre security officer Gavin Plumb, 36, of Potters Field, Harlow, has been remanded in custody over an alleged plot to kidnap and murder former This Morning presenter Holly. He is charged with soliciting a man named David Nelson to commit murder, and incitement to commit kidnap between October 2 and 5 in Harlow, Essex.

Gavin Plumb first appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Friday, 6 October , after being held by officers. Essex Police confirmed they arrested the suspect on Wednesday and he was charged on Friday morning.
Essex Police said in a statement in October: "A 36-year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as part of an ongoing investigation.
The arrest was made on Wednesday October 4. He is currently in custody." Superintendent Tim Tubbs said: "This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges. "The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this as the investigation proceeds." Holly's departure from her presenting stint comes after she was placed on "indefinite leave" by This Morning, following the alleged plot to 'kidnap and murder' her.
