Holby City fans heartbroken as fan favourite Jac Naylor dies in final episode

Viewers were left heartbroken as Holby City officially came to an end on Tuesday night with the dramatic death of a fan favourite. Jac Naylor, played by actress Rosie Marcel, tragically passed away after suffering a stroke shortly after life-saving tumour surgery. Surgeon Jac has been battling brain cancer on the show, and fans watched as she desperately tried to find someone to perform life-changing surgery on her after finding out she had less than six months to live.
And on Tuesday's final episode, Jac made the heartbreaking decision to ask Adrian "Fletch" Fletcher (Alex Walkinshaw) not to write her a do-not-resuscitate order. "I just hate the thought of you giving up," Elliot told her.
She replied: "Let me tell you about giving up. Letting this thing take control. Wipeout my mind.
Leaving me delirious and doubly incontinent - that's giving up. "I have never been clearer about anything in my life. Please do this one thing for me." Viewers then learnt that Jac had decided to donate her organs.
At the end of the episode, a voiceover detailed who Jac's organ donations had gone to, ranging from a medical student to a mother of four. Viewers were left sobbing, with one person tweeting: "What a character Jac Naylor was and what an actress Rosie Marcel is. #HolbyCity."
