Netflix series Baby Reindeer has been unveiled – you can check out all the songs below.The show from creator and comedian Richard Gadd is based on the star’s one-man play of the same name, and follows the real-life story of his stalking ordeal.The series focuses “on struggling comedian Donny Dunn’s (Gadd) strange and layered relationship with a woman named Martha (Jessica Gunning), whose initially friendly demeanour unravels as she begins to stalk Donny relentlessly”.“Their first interaction is innocent enough: While working his shift as a bartender, Donny shows an act of kindness to Martha, a customer whose vulnerability is readily apparent,” the synopsis adds.“But, as the saying goes, ‘no good deed goes unpunished,’ and this casual encounter sparks a suffocating obsession that threatens to wreck both their lives and forces Donny to face his deeply buried trauma.”The soundtrack features a number of classic rock and pop songs, including tracks from Roxy Music, Dusty Springfield, David Byrne, Peggy Lee, Brian Eno and George Harrison.

Amy Winehouse biopic, Back To Black, is released today, which includes an original new song by Nick Cave.The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and follows the life and career of the iconic London singer, with the title role being taken on by Marisa Abela.The soundtrack, titled ‘Back To Black: Songs from the Original Motion Picture’, is set for release on May 17 via UMR/Island Records, and features three original recordings from Winehouse’s highly influential debut, ‘Frank’ and three songs from her multi-award-winning LP ‘Back To Black.It also includes a new original track called ‘Song for Amy’, which is sung by Cave.Cave, along with longtime collaborator Warren Ellis, composed and recorded the film’s score.A further five songs are included on the album, recorded by artists whom Amy Winehouse saw as an inspiration. Monkey Man has hit cinema screens this week, and its soundtrack has proven popular with viewers.Produced by Get Out and Nope’s Jordan Peele, the action thriller stars Patel in the lead role, exploring a man seeking to avenge a loved one, and detailing the topics of discrimination and corruption in Indian society.Also starring in the film are Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala and Pitobash. So far it has received generally positive reviews, with 87% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, and Peter Bradshaw for The Guardian awarding it four stars out of five, describing Patel’s work as “a very exciting and stylish movie.”However, for some viewers it was the film’s soundtrack which had the most impact.

Naman Ramachandran British actor Sheyi Cole has a prominent role in Thea Sharrock’s Netflix original film “The Beautiful Game.” The film revolves around the Homeless World Cup, an annual soccer tournament bringing together displaced or dispossessed players from nearly 50 countries, playing not merely for a trophy but for a second shot at life. Cole plays Jason, a would-be ladies’ man given a sharp #MeToo education when he inappropriately comes onto sparky Mexican-American player Rosita (Cristina Rodio). “One thing that was great about Thea is that she was so hands on – any concerns that we had, she was willing to have conversations and was able to alleviate any concerns that we essentially had, surrounding that conversation with Jason,” Cole told Variety.

Coming off a well-deserved first-ever Oscar nomination, Bill Nighy has a new worthwhile movie to add to his highly impressive filmography. The Beautiful Game is, on its surface, another well-worn story of a ragtag team of misfits coming together for validation not just in their football (i.e. soccer) skills but, more importantly, in their lives. And even though we have seen countless underdog stories like this one set on a playing field, we actually haven’t seen one quite like this in terms of the welcome spotlight it puts on the homeless population among us. The timing is particularly pertinent as many major cities seem to a war going on with the homeless, a complete lack of empathy toward what gets a person to this point in life and a solution for lifting them out of it.

Jake Gyllenhaal leads a remake of Patrick Swayze’s 1989 action film Road House.Directed by Doug Liman (Edge Of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity), the 2024 version follows UFC fighter Elwood Dalton (Gyllenhaal) who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse riddled with shady characters.Other cast members include Daniela Melchior, Conor McGregor, J.D. Pardo, Arturo Castro, Lukas Gage and Billy Magnussen.The film’s score is composed by Christophe Beck, who previously worked with Liman on Edge Of Tomorrow and American Made.
