Helen Skelton has shown her support for Catherine Tyldesley after she was seen continuing her 40th birthday celebrations. Last week, former Coronation Street star Cath shared how she celebrated the milestone occasion weeks after being caught up a 'cakegate' row.
Cath, who played Eva Price in the ITV soap, previously spoke out claims she was involved in trying to bag free cakes from a bakery for a party organised to celebrate the milestone occasion. The row ensued when a bakery owner hit out after it revealed it had declined a PR company's request on behalf of an unidentified 'well-known' celebrity asking for the sweet treats for a 40th birthday celebration.
Three Little Birds Bakery in Yorkshire made headlines after owner Rebecca Severs, from Keighley, shared a screenshot of an email from PR company NVRLND asking the small business to make 100 cupcakes the celebrity’s birthday event and an extra smaller birthday cake for the celeb's husband.

While the bakery or the PR company never named the famous face, other media reports later revealed the event revolved around Catherine, who denied any of it being true. Posting a video, she could be seen sitting in her car with a large pair of glasses covering her eyes as she laughed and said: "Cake gate! WHAT!"
She went on: "So I had no idea those emails were being sent. I'm not working with the lovely OK magazine on anything that I'm aware of and NVRLND are an amazing company. They've supplied me with performers in the past;. They're insane and they've been completely misrepresented in this matter."
