Helen Skelton has shared the reason she still keeps pictures of her ex-husband Richie Mylder on her social media pages she also opened up about being 'distraught' by the sudden end of their marriage.
The TV presenter and rugby player announced in April last year (2022) that they were "no longer a couple". Helen, who tied the knot with Richie in 2013, penned on her Instagram Story at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."
The pair now co-parent their three children – eight-year-old son Ernie, six-year-old Louis and daughter Elsie Kate. But months after sharing the news, Helen was thrust back into the spotlight when she decided to take part in Strictly Come Dancing where made it all the way to the final of the BBC One dance competition alongside her professional partner Gorka Marquez.

But months on from her epic appearance on the BBC One dance contest and over a year after her split from Richie, Helen has given fans an emotional insight into their relationship breakdown and revealed why she kept their breakup a secret from her parents for some time.
In her new book, In My Stride, the Countryfile host wrote about the first few weeks after their marriage broke down, and says she was so heartbroken that she struggled to open up to her family as she didn't want to 'inflict' pain on them so she tried to tackle everything by herself.
