Harry and Meghan secretly meet Queen as they fly into UK ahead of Invictus Games

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a secret visit to see the Queen on a trip back to the United Kingdom.The happy couple have been living Stateside in Montecito, California, since stepping back from their duties as senior royals in March 2020. And on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly left onlookers stunned as they dropped by Windsor Castle, where they were also believed to have met Prince Charles, before journeying onto Holland for the Invictus Games. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed to OK! that they visited the Queen ahead of their appearance at the Invictus Games.
While an onlooker went on to claim to The Sun about the pair's first joint trip to the UK since March 2020: "I couldn't believe it when I saw who it was. We waved, and they waved back." It was added: "They looked happy and relaxed and waved to everyone on the bus. Charles and the Queen were at Windsor Castle at the same time, so they must have met them both.
"It was quite the sight. We knew we might see Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at the ceremony but never believed we would bump into Harry and Meghan." It is unclear whether Harry and Meghan's children, Archie, two, and eleven month old daughter Lilibet are with them on the trip. Members of the public were on the grounds of Windsor Castle for the traditional Maundy Thursday ceremony.
Harry had been back in July last year to accompany his brother Prince William for the unveiling of a statue in dedication to their late mother Princess Diana. Months earlier, in April, Harry flew back for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral, but a then heavily-pregnant Meghan was warned against flying.
