Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is introducing a change this month that will have an impact on hundreds of thousands of Universal Credit claimants. There are more than four million self-employed people in the UK, with 746,000 relying on financial support from the DWP to top up their income.Universal Credit payments for the self-employed are based on what's called the Minimum Income Floor, a policy that was suspended during the coronavirus pandemic.
