Half Waif Postpones Tour Dates, Shares New Song: Listen

(Sandy) Alex G has shared a new song titled “rosebush.” The largely-instrumental track is accompanied by video that contains a short story about a woman named Joanna, three yowling grey cats, and the titular rosebush. The story also has the line, “Crawl back to your hole, rat!,” written many times. Check out the song and video below.

Laura Marling has announced she has moved up the release date of her new album, Song for Our Daughter. Originally slated for a summer release, the record will now arrive April 10 via Partisan/Chrysalis. “In light of the change to all our circumstances, I saw no reason to hold back on something that, at the very least, might entertain, and at its best, provide some sense of union,” she wrote in a statement. Marling has also shared a new song, “Held Down.” Find that below.

A Grape Dope is the moniker of drummer, producer, and founding Tortoise member John Herndon. And, for the first time, he’s releasing a solo LP. The record, Arthur King Presents A Grape Dope: Backyard Bangers, is due out June 5 via Dangerbird. Herndon’s also shared the new song “Puppet Clubbing” with a visual featuring his animation. serpentwithfeet has shared “A Comma,” a new song for Adult Swim’s ongoing Singles series. Check it out below. “A Comma” is set to appear on a new EP called Apparition, due out in late April. It was produced by Wynne Bennett, who has worked with Janelle Monáe, Twin Shadow, and more.

Future has shared a new song called “Tycoon.” It arrives with a music video directed by Elf Rivera, whose helmed several of the Atlanta rapper’s past visuals, including “Rich $ex” and “Used to This.” Check out the new “Tycoon” clip below.

Craig Finn, frontman for the Hold Steady, has announced a new album called All These Perfect Crosses. He’s also shared its title track. The LP was recorded during Finn’s sessions from his most recent solo album, last year’s I Need a New War. The double album arrives June 20 (via Partisan) for the recently rescheduled Record Store Day. Former Frog Eyes leader Carey Mercer has announced his new band Soft Plastics. Quelle Chris has announced a new album that features Earl Sweatshirt, billy woods, Tune-Yards’ Merrill Garbus, Denmark Vessey, Homeboy Sandman, Pink Siifu, comedian Josh Gondelman, and more. It’s called Innocent Country 2 and it arrives April 24 via Mello Music Group. He’s also shared a new track from the record, titled “LIVING HAPPY” (featuring Chicago’s Joseph Chilliams and New Orleans-based rapper Cavalier).

Yaeji is back. The Korean-American producer, DJ, and vocalist has announced her first-ever mixtape, WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던, which arrives on April 2 via XL.
