Sunday's Academy Awards saw some of the top names in film collect awards on Hollywood's biggest night. Despite the ceremony looking slightly different than previous years, musicians left their own mark.

Singer-songwriter H.E.R aka Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson bagged an Oscar for Best Original Song 'Fight For You' shortly a month after winning a Grammy. Just last month, H.E.R won Song of The Year for "I Can't Breathe".

's illustrious journey down the road ended on the Oscars stage, with Chloé Zhao's drama winning Best Picture during Sunday's 93rd Academy Awards. Taking the stage with team — including the real-life nomads cast in the film — Zhao paid thanks to «all the people we met on the road, thank you for teaching us the power of resilience and hope and reminding us what true kindness looks like.»The win makes Oscars history, as becomes only the second ever Best Picture winner directed by a woman.

Best Original Song is one of the most coveted awards in the music industry – arguably more so than the Grammy for Song of the Year. The accolade was first introduced in 1934 at the 7th Academy Awards, and was won by “The Continental” (Con Conrad, Herb Magidson) from Best Film nominee The Gay Divorcee.

Frances McDormand picked up her third Best Actress Oscar tonight for her performance in the Chloé Zhao-directed drama Nomadland. This ties McDormand with the now-retired Daniel Day Lewis for the highest amount of wins in the leading actor category.

“Fight for You” is taking home Oscar’s best original song at the 93rd ceremony from the Warner Bros. movie Judas and the Black Messiah.
