Grown-ish will have quite the star-studded final season.
Kelly Rowland, Omarion, Latto and NLE Choppa have been added to an already impressive list of guest stars for Season 6, Freeform announced at ATX Festival on Saturday.
They join previously announced guest stars Lil Yachty, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals.
Rowland will play Edie, a tenured professor who serves as the head of the psychology department at Cal U. Latto will play Sloane, a wine rep who counts Doug as a client.
Omarion and NLE Choppa will play themselves.
In addition to the guest star announcement, Freeform also released a first look at the first half of Season 6, which will premiere on June 28. The 30-second clip gives a glimpse at each of the guest stars. You can watch the promo below.
Grown-ish, which is a spinoff of ABC’s Black-ish, premiered in 2018. It originally followed Yara Shahidi‘s character Zoey as she left home to attend college. Season 5 saw Marcus Scribner take up the mantle from Shahidi as Zoey’s younger brother Junior, who started his first year at Cal U.
On the heels of her graduation, Junior has been attempting to transition out from under her shadow and make his own mark on the campus.
In addition to Shahidi and Scribner, the series stars Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons, and Daniella Perkins.
The series is produced by ABC Signature and Kenya Barris, Craig Doyle, Yara Shahidi, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland, E. Brian Dobbins and Michael Petok serve as executive producers. Doyle will serve as showrunner for Season 6, succeeding Zakiyyah Alexander and Courtney Lilly, who were co-showrunners last season.

Rachel Seo Gavin Casalegno is entering his wrestling era. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” actor has joined director Ash Avildsen’s “Queen of the Ring,” his reps confirmed to Variety. “Queen of the Ring” follows the story of WWE Hall of Fame-inducted wrestler Mildred Burke, a world champion who broke glass ceilings throughout the course of her career from the 1930s through the 1950s. Casalegno will play the teenage version of Joe, Burke’s son. The cast also reportedly includes Emily Bett Richards (“Arrow”) and Josh Lucas (“Ford v Ferrari”) as Burke and her husband and business manager, Billy Wolfe. Marie Avgeropoulos (“The 100”) and WWE’s Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan also star in the film. Avildsen (“Paradise City,” “American Satan”) will direct based on a script he penned. The film is inspired by Jeff Leen’s book of the same name.

Jon Burlingame “Star Trek” fans are still buzzing about the music of the final season of “Picard.” That’s because the lavish symphonic score by Stephen Barton and Frederik Wiedmann references multiple themes from throughout the 57-year history of “Trek” movies and TV shows. Barton, who scored seven of the 10 episodes and collaborated with Wiedmann on the finale, says that the idea belonged to showrunner Terry Matalas. “From the very beginning, we chatted a lot about the ‘Star Trek’ we grew up with. This was a moment in the franchise to take a step back, look at the whole picture, and say, how can we honor this?” Matalas has “an amazing, vast knowledge” of “Trek” music, Wiedmann says. “He’s as enthusiastic about film scores as we are – which, in the end, was extremely helpful for us because Terry had such a clear idea on where to go with the music.”
