‘Tacoma FD’ Gets Season 4 Premiere Date, Tony Danza & David Arquette Among Guest Stars; Trailer

Apple TV+ has set Wednesday, August 23 for the Season 2 premiere of acclaimed sci-fi series Invasion, from Simon Kinberg and David Weil. The series will debut with the first episode of its 10-episode second season, followed by one new episode weekly, every Wednesday through October 25, on Apple TV+. 

Pete Davidson reportedly admitted himself into rehab to manage "borderline personality disorder and PTSD" symptoms. The "Saturday Night Live" alum is being treated at the same facility where his friend and former "SNL" writer, John Mulaney, sought treatment for addiction issues, according to Page Six. Davidson and Mulaney join a string of stars from the popular sketch comedy series who have fought against personal dependency troubles.

Apple TV+ has unveiled several first-look photos and set the premiere date for Season 3 of The Morning Show. The 10-episode third season will debut Wednesday, September 13, with the first two episodes.

Love Island USA is going back to where it all started and sending its Islanders to find love in Fiji. Peacock launched a trailer for Season 5 of the reality competition and set the premiere date for July 18.

The upcoming fourth season of Disney+’ original series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will be its last, with all eight episodes dropping on August 9.

Netflix has revealed Season 7 of its popular Spanish YA drama series Elite will premiere on October 20. The streamer announced the news Saturday during its Tudum fan event where it also unveiled a teaser trailer (with subtitles) for the upcoming season (see it above).

It’s official. Billions will end with its upcoming seventh season. Showtime confirmed Thursday that the seventh season will be the last for the hit drama series, and announced the premiere date. The first episode will stream on Paramount+ with Showtime on Friday, August 11, before making its on-air debut Sunday, August 13 at 8 pm on Showtime. Subsequent episodes will roll out weekly.

We’re getting a first look at FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World (fka Retreat). FX today announced the new title for the series and released two first-look photos featuring stars Emma Corrin and Harris Dickinson (see above and below). Clive Owen and series co-creator Brit Marling also star in the series, which will premiere in August exclusively on Hulu.

Alien film franchise is scheduled to be released in 2024.As reported by Variety, the ninth film in the franchise will be released on August 16, 2024, as production on various Disney projects continues to be affected by the ongoing Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) strike.The next Alien film is produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Fede Álvarez, who is best known for directing Don’t Breathe and 2013’s Evil Dead. Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic “Bucky F*cking Dent,” the second movie written and directed by David Duchovny (the first was “House of D,” in 2004), is based on a novel by Duchovny that was published in 2016, and whether or not the story is autobiographical, it feels autobiographical, and I mean that as a compliment. Set in the summer of 1978, it’s framed around one man’s obsession with the Boston Red Sox — meaning, of course, the curse of the Bambino, going back to 1918, the last time (until 2004) the Sox won the championship. The man is Ted Fulilove, which is a terrible last name for a movie character, though he’s played by Duchovny as a cussed crab apple with an amusing misanthropic put-down for every occasion (like: “Closure’s for morons”). “Bucky F*cking Dent” has a handful of characters, but it’s essentially a father-son two-hander — one of those dramadies in which the dad is a heartless-on-the-surface coot who was no good when it came to how he treated his family, and the son is a lot nicer and more sensitive, but maybe too sensitive (as a correction to all that paternal dickishness). Which also means that he’s lost.
