For the last three years, Rose McGowan has been at the forefront of Hollywood's #MeToo movement, and now the multimedia artist plans to reshape her art with her debut album Planet 9, landing on streaming platforms Friday.The 46-year-old actress/activist finds the signature sound of her utopian world from her childhood named Planet 9, which coincidentally shares the title of the planet two researchers discovered in Pluto's absence back in 2015.

Activist, author, and filmmaker Rose McGowan is releasing her first album of original music: Planet 9 is out this Friday, April 24. “When I was a small child going through tough times, I created a utopian world in my mind and I named it Planet 9,” McGowan explained in a statement. “I felt safe on this invented planet of mine. I also used to wonder what sounds existed on my planet.”

The album is called Celebration States and it’s out July 10 (via New Granada).
