Ministers still haven’t signed off the military support they promised a fortnight ago to help with Greater Manchester’s rocketing Covid cases, the region’s health chief has said.
Sir Richard Leese also said that the supply of vaccines for the under-40s, which local authorities here have been pushing ministers to bring forward for some time, is still not coming through ‘at the speed we need it’.
