Jamie Lynn Spears, who played Zoey in the hugely popular Nickelodeon dramedy “Zoey 101” (2005-2008), headlines “Zoey 102,” a one-off Paramount+ movie (paramountplus.qflm.net/9WG5D0) reuniting many of the series original stars including Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Christopher Massey (Michael Barret), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese) and Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky). “This [movie] would not have existed without her,” “Zoey 102” director Nancy Hower told The Post about Spears.

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Amazon Prime Video has finally set the premiere date for “The Boys” spinoff series “Gen V.” Also from creator Eric Kripke, the new show, which takes place at a superhero college, will launch with its first three episodes on Sept. 29. New episodes will rollout weekly until the Season 1 finale on Nov. 3. Per Amazon’s description for “Gen V”: “From the world of ‘The Boys’ comes ‘Gen V,’ which explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given. These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. BreAnna Bell “All American,” The CW’s lone homegrown series originally set for the fall has been moved to midseason. The network confirmed the move on Wednesday after announcing premiere dates for the rest of its fall schedule. Also being pushed to midseason is “61st Street” and the “I am” documentary film franchise. The drama was first renewed for Season 6 in January and was originally slated to air on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT, leading into the acquired drama series “61st Street.” In May, the network revealed that “Walker,” which was previously renewed for an abbreviated fourth season, was also being held for midseason. It’s safe to say the move was likely another casualty of the ongoing writers’ strike, which has pushed networks like ABC to delay all of its primetime scripted series. However, with the other unscripted and acquired programming, the network has managed to pad itself somewhat from the other effects of the strike.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has gotten its Peacock premiere date following a hugely successful run in theaters, the streamer announced on Thursday. The film from Universal and Illumination begins streaming exclusively on the platform on August 3rd, and will be joined there by behind-the-scenes cast interviews, as well as an immersive “Field Guide” expanding the film through bonus features, and a lyric video for a song sung by Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy).

Apple TV+ has slotted Wednesday, August 9 for the premiere of Strange Planet, its 10-episode adult animated series based on the bestselling graphic novel and webcomic. New episodes will debut weekly on Wednesdays through the September 27 season finale.
