Gotham Knights developer WB Games Montréal‘s website, the studio is assisting with Monolith Productions‘ upcoming Wonder Woman game.As spotted by Tech4gamers, WB Games Montréal is looking for an external development artist who will “support the Monolith Productions team on their announced Wonder Woman game!”The upcoming Wonder Woman game was announced back in December 2021 at The Game Awards. It is being developed by Middle-Earth: Shadow of War developer Monolith, and is not going to be a live-service game like the recent Suicide Squad, according to a statement from Warner Bros..
It is described a single-player, open-world action-adventure game with an original story set in the DC universe.Wonder Woman will also make use of Warner Bros’ patented Nemesis system; a game mechanic that first debuted in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and sees enemies dynamically becoming stronger as they defeat the player. However, plans for games change often, and JB Perrette, Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO for global streaming and games, recently stated the company would be moving away from “volatile” triple-A games and instead focusing on live-service ones.
This is despite the single-player Hogwarts Legacy being the best-selling game of 2023, and live service Suicide Squad not meeting expectations.WB Games Montréal’s first triple-A game was Batman: Arkham Origins, which got mixed reviews. Between that and 2022’s Gotham Knights it has worked as a support studio on a number of DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight.Gotham Knights also received mixed reviews on launch.

Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, Kacey Musgraves, Camila Cabello and more than 200 other artists have joined with the Artist Rights Alliance non-profit – an artist-led education and advocacy organization – to issue an open letter supported by more than 200 artists calling on “AI developers, technology companies, platforms, and digital music services to cease the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to infringe upon and devalue the rights of human artists.” A full list of signatories appears below. While AI-related threats such as deepfakes and voice cloning continue to attract significant (and legal) scrutiny, the letter also highlights two related trends: the use of musical works by AI developers without permission to train and produce AI “copycats,” and the use of AI “sound” to dilute royalty obligations.
new album “Cowboy Carter” — and one of them is none other than music legend Stevie Wonder. After accepting the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles Monday night, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer gushed over the 25-time Grammy winner who handed her the gong.“Now, Beyoncé is once again changing music and culture,” Wonder said of her latest record. “And when she’s not changing music, she’s changing the world, fighting the good fight.”As the mom of three accepted the award, she thanked the “I Wish” hitmaker for “making a way for all of us.”“And thank you for playing the harmonica on ‘Jolene,’” she added.“Tonight, you called me an innovator and for that, I’m very grateful,” the 32-time Grammy winner said.
Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Production and songwriter credits for Beyoncé’s new album “Cowboy Carter” hit streaming services this past weekend, but she’s got a few more surprises in store when it comes to the musicians who played on the record. While accepting the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Tuesday (April 1), Beyoncé revealed that Stevie Wonder played harmonica on her cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” a reimagining of the 1973 classic.
At one point, Warner Bros.’ “Wonder Woman” was arguably the most successful and beloved of the DC properties, and the studio was going to move forward with franchise director Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 3” and lead actress Gal Gadot. Of course, all that changed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and made a hard creative reset of the DC Universe instead.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Lynda Carter, who became a television icon as the star of the live-action “Wonder Woman” series from 1975 to 1979, delighted comic book fans when she popped up at the end of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” as Asteria, a legendary Amazonian warrior previously thought to be dead. The tease led many to believe a third “Wonder Woman” movie would unite Carter and Gal Gadot on the big screen, but the sequel was announced as dead in August 2023. In a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Carter heavily suggested that she would’ve been back as Asteria had Jenkins and Gadot’s “Wonder Woman 3” taken flight at Warner Bros.
Lynda Carter didn’t have the Golden Lasso of Truth surrounding her. But what she said about a possible Wonder Woman 3 makes sense.
obtained by TMZ, was allegedly an outtake from the Death Row Records founder’s podcast “Collect Call,” which he hosts from a California state prison where he’s currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter.Knight kicked off the clip praying for Diddy’s “kids” before he blasted the singer, 54, for giving the “culture” of hip-hop a bad image.“I’ll tell you what, Puffy: your life is in danger cause you know the secrets, who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” Knight, 58, allegedly said in the audio clip.He then ominously warned Diddy that “they gonna get you if they can.”Knight went on to encourage Diddy to turn himself over to authorities just as he did following a hit-and-run in 2015 that resulted in the death of Terry Carter.“I turned myself in,” Knight said.“Sometimes you got to face the music. That’s most of the time.”He took a moment to give Diddy some “real advice” if he ended up behind bars.“You gotta make a decision, when you go to prison.
Expansion of Matt Reeves’ take on Batman and Gotham City finally begins later this year with the long-awaited “The Penguin.” A new Max series, “The Penguin,” centers on Colin Farrell’s Batman rogue Oz Cobb, aka Oswald Cobblepot, who takes his place within the criminal underworld following the death of mob boss Carmine Falcone (played by John Turturro in “The Batman”).
Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter doesn't seem to have aged a day.The 1970s star looked decades younger than her 72 years as she stepped out in Washington DC. Lynda donned a bright blue pantsuit for the 2024 Gershwin Prize dinner held at the Library of Congress last week. Fans remember her best for starring in the hit 1970s superhero series, wowing in loose silk trousers with a black stripe down one side.
Caroline Brew editor Colin Farrell returns to Gotham City as Oz Cobb, aka Oswald Cobblepot, in the trailer for “The Penguin,” a spinoff series of “The Batman” coming this fall to Max. “The Penguin” takes place immediately following the events of DC’s 2022 blockbuster, tracing Cobblepot’s rise to power in the Gotham underworld as he becomes one of the most prominent villains in the “Batman” universe. Farrell gives a classic gangster monologue throughout the trailer, which slowly ramps up the violence and gunfights in Gotham City’s seedy underground.
Though many critics thought another Batman reboot would be overkill, filmmaker Matt Reeves largely silenced early detractors with his moody and atmospheric “The Batman” (2022), which starred Robert Pattinson. As we eagerly await “The Batman—Part II,” Reeves willflesh out his vision for Gotham City with “The Batman” spinoff series “The Penguin.” Focusing on the crime villain Oswald Copplepot, aka The Penguin (played by Colin Farrell), the series is set in the aftermath of a power vacuum in the crime-ridden megalopolis of Gotham created by the death of crime boss Carmine Falcone (played by John Turturro in Reeves’ first film).
Dianne Crittenden, casting director on the original Star Wars who also worked on Pretty Woman, Spider-Man 2 and dozens of other films during a 40-year career, died March 19 at her home in Pacific Palisades. She was 82.
