Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter doesn't seem to have aged a day.
The 1970s star looked decades younger than her 72 years as she stepped out in Washington DC. Lynda donned a bright blue pantsuit for the 2024 Gershwin Prize dinner held at the Library of Congress last week. Fans remember her best for starring in the hit 1970s superhero series, wowing in loose silk trousers with a black stripe down one side.
A bright blue blazer was worn over the top of a silky black shirt with a bow at the collar and matching blue trousers with a black stripe and black trainers. She finished things off with a floral, multicoloured Gucci bag with a metal strap stretching over one shoulder, and wore her shoulder-length tresses in loose curls over a pair of teardrop earrings. Lynda upped the glam with her makeup look, swiping on a deep scarlet lip and a hint of bronze shadow over her eyelids.
The septuagenarian was best known for sporting her busty Wonder Woman outfit that inspired Gal Gadot's version of the character decades later. With tiny blue shorts emblazoned with white stars and a tiny strapless red corset with gold decals, she was known for showing off her form in a silver crown and her tiny Spandex uniform. Lynda has previously shared her secret to looking youthful and it's not due to plastic surgery.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: "People still recognise me all the time as Wonder Woman. I don't know that I've changed too dramatically." She addded: "I don't cut my face, so I probably just look myself, but older. And the reason I've never had any facial surgery is just because I'm afraid.

At one point, Warner Bros.’ “Wonder Woman” was arguably the most successful and beloved of the DC properties, and the studio was going to move forward with franchise director Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 3” and lead actress Gal Gadot. Of course, all that changed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and made a hard creative reset of the DC Universe instead.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Lynda Carter, who became a television icon as the star of the live-action “Wonder Woman” series from 1975 to 1979, delighted comic book fans when she popped up at the end of Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” as Asteria, a legendary Amazonian warrior previously thought to be dead. The tease led many to believe a third “Wonder Woman” movie would unite Carter and Gal Gadot on the big screen, but the sequel was announced as dead in August 2023. In a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Carter heavily suggested that she would’ve been back as Asteria had Jenkins and Gadot’s “Wonder Woman 3” taken flight at Warner Bros.
