Disheartening details surrounding pro golfer Grayson Murray’s death have been revealed.
The two-time PGA Tour winner sadly passed away on Saturday morning, just one day after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas. The news shocked both his fans and family, with his parents Eric and Terry revealing in a statement shared by the PGA Tour on Sunday that he died by suicide:

DailyMail.com reported on Tuesday that the 30-year-old athlete died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Per the outlet, he is believed to have turned on his Land Rover and left it running the garage of his three-story Florida townhouse. He then is believed to have gone upstairs as the deadly fumes from his vehicle billowed into his home, eventually resulting in his death.

Police were notified at 10:49 a.m. local time, and that’s when Grayson’s body was found.
A rep for the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department announced an investigation has been launched but that foul play is not suspected:
Grayson shared the Palm Beach Gardens home with his 28-year-old fiancée Christina Ritchie. He has also been open in the past about struggling with alcoholism and with his mental health.
